REL 341 - Comparative Mythology

3 Semester Hours
This course will examine foundational myths from religions throughout time and place. Examining both texts and oral traditions, we will compare both similarities and differences, ultimately reflecting on the place of myth within religious communities and traditions. Different iterations of this course will exarnine different corpora ranging from lsrael, Mesopotamia, Egypt, east Asia, Scandinavia, Mesoamerica, and North America.
