PBH 203 - Health Communication

This course explores the creation and delivery of health communication. The Society for Health Communication defines health communication as “the science and art of using communication to advance the health and well-being of people and populations.” Health communication arises from and happens within a wide array of contexts for a wide array of reasons and is developed for a wide array of audiences. This course will use a socialecological framework and equity lens to explore and critique health communication. Students will practice developing and delivering health communication for specific audiences.
