NUR 405 - NCLEX Review and Transition to Practice Course

Prerequisite: NUR 301, NUR 305, NUR 308, NUR 309, NUR 312, NUR 315, NUR 320, NUR 328, NUR 351, NUR 401
This course provides the learner with an opportunity to synthesize concepts presented throughout the curriculum and begin the transition from student to professional nurse. Emphasis is placed on applying critical thinking, clinical judgement, and evidence- based nursing practice. Students will generate strategies for successful practice as a novice professional nurse. They will reflect on personal beliefs and responses to entering professional nursing practice and the importance of personal accountability and self-care. This course also explores preparing for NCLEX success and licensure.
