The B.A. in Music Production focuses on the techniques and technologies of music audio production, providing students with the necessary skills to perform as an audio engineer or record producer. The program is designed to create a foundation in musicianship and technical skills needed in the professional area of audio production.

Requirements for a Major in Music Production

MUP 150 - History of Popular Music 3 Semester Hours
MUP 200 - Theory of Popular Music 3 Semester Hours
MUP 300 - Introduction to Music Production 3 Semester Hours
MUP 305 - Studio Techniques 3 Semester Hours
MUP 310 - Live Sound Production 3 Semester Hours
MUP 405 - Advanced Studio Techniques 3 Semester Hours
MUP 490 - Senior Project 3 Semester Hours
ENT 495 - Special Topics 1-6 Semester Hours
And select 6 semester hours of credit between:
MUP 185 - Spectrum (Popular Music Ensemble) 1 Semester Hours and/or
MUS 195 - Special Topics 1-6 Semester Hours
and
MUP 320 - Applied Music Production 2 Semester Hours
To be taken for a total of 6 semester hours.
