The Law, Politics, and Society program provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the relationships between law, political institutions, and social forces. Drawing primarily from the disciplines of Political Science, Sociology, History, and Criminal Justice, the
program equips students with the analytical tools needed to understand and address important issues in law, governance, and social justice.
Students will investigate the origins, development, and operation of legal and political systems, as well as their impact on individuals and communities. Through a combination of theoretical inquiry and practical application, the program fosters critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and effective communication skills.
The program provides excellent preparation for students interested in law school, though graduates will also be well prepared for a wide range of careers in law, public policy, government, and non-profit organizations, or for graduate study in related fields such as public administration, public policy. and legal studies.
