HIS 350 - The Renaissance, the Reformation and the Scientific Revolution

Prerequisite: HIS 101 recommeded
Beginning in the 14th century recovery from the Plague, European society became reborn by discovering its own past. Along the way, a religious tradition became shattered, a new world was discovered, empires were established, wars were fought and a new way of thinking created. Topics include the Italian Renaissance, humanism, popular culture, absolutism and the voyages of discovery. Open to all majors, no pre-requisites but HIS 101 recommended.
