BUS 620 - Corporate Finance

This course introduces the concepts of corporate financing using the core curriculum of the CFA Institute. The class develops a bredth, depth and application of concepts involving corporate governance, capital budgeting, the cost of capital, leverage, optimal capital structures, Modigliani-Miller (MM) Propositions, dividends, financial statement analysis and mergers and acquisitions. Upon concluding this class, the student should have a broad understanding of concepts underpinning many disciplines studied with a Masters level program and the objectives allowing a properly capitalized venture.
