CHM 381 - Inorganic Chemistry

Prerequisite: CHM 301, CHM 302, CHM 341, CHM 342
Corequisite: CHM 382

This course presents an overview of molecular and ionic inorganic and organometallic compounds and chemistry. Elements of bonding theory will be applied to compound classification and trends in reactivity. Classical and modern theories will be considered with respect to lattice energies, crystal field theory, redox potential, allotropy and other relevant topics in inorganic chemistry.
