HIS 364 - Reichs and Rifles

Prerequisite: HIS 102 , HIS 111 or HIS 112 recommended
This course will follow the development of the creation of the German nation between 1815, when it didn’t exist, to 1914 when it became Europe’s most powerful and most volatile country. Topics will include nationalism, economic development, women’s history, development of racism, socialism and effects of liberalism. Open to all majors, no pre-requisites but HIS 102 , HIS 111 or HIS 112 recommended.
