REL 321 - The Bible and Film

The Bible contains many stories which have endured over several millennia. These stories, however, are reinterpreted by audiences to fit their own historical and religious situations. This course will examine this reinterpretation of biblical stories in modem film, comparing them to their original stories and historical contexts, as well as the reinterpretations which have occurred throughout history.
